CBD basics
What is CBD?
CBD (cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound found in hemp. It is non-intoxicating, meaning it does not produce a 'high,' and many people use it to support everyday wellness.
Will CBD get me high?
No. CBD is non-intoxicating. Hemp-derived products contain less than 0.3% THC by dry weight, and isolate products like RSHO-X™ contain zero THC.
What's the difference between hemp and marijuana?
Both are cannabis plants, but hemp is legally defined as containing 0.3% THC or less. All products we recommend are hemp-derived.
What does 'full spectrum' mean?
Full spectrum products contain CBD along with the plant's other naturally occurring compounds, including trace THC (under 0.3%). Broad spectrum removes THC; isolate is pure CBD.
Choosing products
Which CBD product is right for me?
It depends on your goal, routine and THC preference. That's exactly what your free consultation is for: we listen, then recommend a format and strength that fits.
How do I choose a CBD strength?
Most people start low and adjust gradually. Your guide will suggest a starting serving based on your experience and goals, and help you adjust over time.
What's the difference between Green, Blue and Gold Label?
Green Label is raw (contains CBDA), Blue Label is decarboxylated to activate CBD, and Gold Label is decarboxylated and filtered for a lighter taste.
Oils, capsules, gummies or topicals: which format is best?
There's no single best format. Oils offer flexible servings, capsules and gummies are convenient and consistent, and topicals are applied directly to the skin.
Using CBD
How do I take CBD oil?
Place the serving under your tongue and hold for 30 to 60 seconds before swallowing. Your guide will walk you through it.
How long does CBD take to work?
It varies by person and format. Oils under the tongue are typically felt sooner than capsules or gummies; consistency over days often matters most.
Can I take CBD every day?
Many people include CBD in a daily routine. Consult your physician before use, especially if you take any medication.
What time of day should I take CBD?
It depends on your goal. Some prefer mornings for balance and focus; others prefer evenings as part of a wind-down routine.
Safety, drug testing & legality
Is CBD legal?
Hemp-derived CBD with less than 0.3% THC is federally legal in the U.S. under the 2018 Farm Bill. State laws vary, so check your local regulations.
Will CBD show up on a drug test?
It can. Full spectrum products contain trace THC that may accumulate and cause a positive result. If you are drug tested, choose a zero-THC isolate and talk to us first. No product can be guaranteed to pass a test.
Are there side effects?
CBD is generally well tolerated, but some people experience drowsiness, dry mouth or changes in appetite. Consult your physician before use, especially if pregnant, nursing or taking medication.
How do I know the products are safe and accurate?
Every HempMeds product we recommend is triple lab tested, with Certificates of Analysis available, so you can verify what's in the bottle.
Is CBD for people under 18?
No. Our products and consultations are for adults 18 and over only.
